Pointwork Control Example Mechanical

Two types of commercially available point lever are shown below. In both cases the linkage to the tie-bar has been formed from a galvanised steel paper clip and incorporates a loop to relieve strain.

First example is a Cliff Barker lever attached to a turnout built from Cliff Barker components

The second example is a Williams Models lever, again attached to a turnout built from Cliff Barker components. In the case of the Williams Models example, the lever has to be elevated from surface level to align with the tie-rod and to accommodate the "fish belly" shape of the underside of the lever casting.
